Installation and Charges
- The software is configured on an individual portfolio basis and installed at the organisation's premises free of charge.
- Each installation is uniquely identifiable. User profiles produced for one installation will not work with another, whilst individual portfolios can be exported to any organisations. The software will be installed on the customer's master PC as well as onto one or more desktop/laptop/tablet PCs.
- At the time of installation the software is configured to provide a 'user store' containing restrictions on the number of users and portfolios which the installation will support.
- Profiles are authored on the customer's desktop PC then the author 'registers' the portfolio making it available for assessments allowing the portfolio to be exported into a suitable medium, then imported back into the desktop PC.
- Software is loaded via CD-ROM onto the tablet PC or host desktop PC.
- This process takes about 30 minutes.
- e-MASTER © will be offered via one-off £39 licences per operation/candidate.
- Training is provided to the client in the use of the software and the authoring tool.
- This chargeable process will take a minimum of one day.
- The client will be able to design his own future assessment plans.
The Tablet PC
Though
e-MASTER © can be run on a lap top PC, a desk top PC or a tablet PC; it is recommended that the tablet PC be the preferred option because:
- The tablet PC offers unrivalled portability, accessibility and flexibility as it is lightweight, able to be held in the crook of one’s arm and has no screen to fold back.
- The e-MASTER © document, on which to record the event, is electronically displayed on the screen that fills the top of the tablet. The user then merely completes the document using the supplied pen interface, a specialist stylus, by following on screen prompts. Any input handwriting can, if necessary, be seamlessly converted to text.
- The tablet PC maximises the use of e-MASTER © to provide the ultimate business or commercial tool to maximise evidence collection for your specific need.
- The tablet PC is specially designed for working while standing or walking. It's light, thin and robust. Its brilliant display enables a convenient working with the natural pen interface on every location, indoors and outdoors.
